Kelsey Grammer might run for mayor of New York

Kelsey Grammer was once the dominant television actor on TV as the title role in Fraiser and in an interview today, he announced ambitions to become a dominant politician by running for New York mayor.
In an interview with the New York Post, Grammer said he had a great career and considers "....my political aspirations as that last piece of my life -- where I hope to do something good for people and pay back a little."
Grammer, who is a strong supporter of the Republican party, left out the specifics about running, although he certainly has the money to. According to the Post, he has a net worth of nearly $100 million, mostly thanks to Fraiser reruns. He has already put money towards his beliefs by supporting John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign and a right-wing cable channel called Rightnetwork, according to msnbc.com.
His political ambitions may have been fired up by his latest television role, that of Chicago mayor Tom Kane in Starz’ Boss, which starts this fall.
