Can Rupert Boneham survive the election for Indiana's next governor?
Boneham, winner of $1 million on Survivor: All Stars in 2004, announced Saturday that he intends to get a spot on the ballot for Indiana's next governor election.
Boneham hopes to receive the Libertarian Party nomination for Indiana governor. Boneham claimed that he would be a valued replacement for current Rep. Governor Mitch Daniels because he feels that the voters deserve better.
"I hope Indiana is ready for someone like me that does care and does understand what we are going through," Boneham said to the Indianapolis Star. "I am not guided by the dollars; I'm guided by what is best for us all."
Boneham asserted that his priorities would be jobs, education, correctional facilities and the "Hoosiers," or people of Indiana.
"Hoosiers have consistently voted in professional politicians and look at the results. Hoosiers should have a different choice in 2012," Boneham declared in a news release.
Reports say the Boneham has been a member and avid supporter of the Libertarian Party for nearly a year. Party delegates will elect their candidate on April 14.
