Channing Tatum tells Chelsea Handler men are 'useless' during labor

Channing Tatum appeared on Chelsea Lately on Thursday night, where he talked about the miracle of childbirth but admitted to breaking down a few times and feeling “useless” while his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum did all the work.

The White House Down actor says he cried while his wife was giving birth, noting he cries pretty easily, and praised women for bearing children.

"There's a real reason why God did not give like, us the ability to have babies,” he told Chelsea Handler, E! Online reports. “You guys, I don't know how you do it. It's a real thing. It's like National Geographic animal-style for real. I don't get it.”

He also admitted to breaking down while it was all happening, saying "I probably went to the bathroom four times and had a crying fit. Like, I'm just like, I don't know what to do!"

Tatum, 33, continued "It's like someone's hurting, someone that you love and you can't do anything about it. You physically cannot help. And I'm still not helping and the baby's out. It doesn't matter. You are useless. Men are useless but we are really not useless during this. The baby's gonna come out whether you're there or not."

Tatum and his wife welcomed baby Everly in London at the end of May.
