Ray Romano set to return to ‘Parenthood’

Fans of NBC’s dramedy Parenthood will be eager to learn that Ray Romano closed a deal to return to the series next season.

The fourth season finale threw fans into a frenzy questioning whether or not the former Everybody Loves Raymond actor would be back for the following season.

According to Deadline, Romano will appear in 12-15 episodes, which matches the amount of episodes he appeared in during the last season. Romano plays Hank Rizzoli, Sarah’s (Lauren Graham) boss and romantic interest. In the finale, Sarah dismissed her engagement to Mark (Jason Ritter) for Hank, before learning he was moving to Minnesota to be closer to his daughter.

Romano developed a close relationship with the show’s executive producer Jason Katmis, which apparently made the actor decide to continue with acting on the show.

Lucky for ‘Parenthood,’ which unfortunately does not hold as many viewers as some of the other NBC shows, their slot was moved to Thursdays at 10pm, a golden time slot for television viewing.
