Welcome back to Hollywood, Wanted Lifers! The third episode of The Wanted Life continued to develop things such as Nathan’s vocal sickness, Siva’s whipped relationship with his girlfriend, Nareesha, and of course lots more day drinking and partying.
The show started off with the boys singing to sick children, which was a pretty adorable moment. Nathan, Max, Siva, Tom, and Jay visited a children’s hospital in Orange Country with Ryan Seacrest, who invited them to take the stage.
Back at the house, the boys were talking about how they wanted to have a fan event. Rather, a party to meet their fans and most importantly, an excuse to have fun. They brainstormed ideas such as go-karting and paintballing. While Max thinks it’s a brilliant idea to host the party in their mansion, Siva argues against him because Nareesha thinks hosting the party in the mansion would be crossing the line. We saw in episode two how Max and some of the others were annoyed by Siva’s constant attachment to his girlfriend and her opinion. This resulted in an argument between Siva, Max and Tom.
““I love the fans, but I think it’s a bit too personal when they’re in your house,” he says. Max and Tom become upset with Siva, while Jay tries to play peacekeeper.
However, they hosted the party anyway and Siva had a fantastic time (how could anyone not at a party in a Hollywood mansion with an inflatable bungee room?) Yes, that’s right, an inflatable bungee room is what the boys had at their party, along with a dunk tank. A herd of girls walked into the mansion including one older woman who went right up to Max saying that she was a cougar. Max told the camera that a lot of women think he’s older because he’s bald but he makes that choice by shaving his head.
The women sat down at tables overlooking the Hollywood hills. Moments later, the band’s manager told them to look under their seats for a present – seven minutes alone with their favorite member of the band. That’s quite the prize! One girl chooses Jay. The two shut the door and you hear conversation outside the door, making us wonder what’s going on. The camera goes inside the room and she’s on an elliptical. So it wasn’t what we thought it was but at least these guys aren’t taking advantage of their fans! (Though we may want to live vicariously through them.)
Meanwhile, at his doctor’s appointment, Nathan learned his vocal chords were inflamed. After hoping he would recover quickly, the doctor told Nathan he was to be quiet for ten days to prevent scarring. As the doctor said, no talking loud, no going to clubs and shouting, anything to rest his vocal chords so he didn’t damage them more.
What does this mean for the future of the band? In the next episode the boys go to the White House. This can only result in trouble, but until next time.
