Keegan Allen is best known on ABC Family’s number one drama Pretty Little Liars where he plays Spencer’s mysterious boyfriend Toby. The 26-year-old actor will now be shifting from the silver screen to an off-Broadway production of Small Engine Repair.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Allen plays a privileged college jock who travels to an out of the way a repair shop where he regularly meets three former high school friends who engage in shady endeavors. He develops a heated resentment towards the men, played by James Badge Dale (World War Z, Iron Man 3), James Ransome (The Wire), and actor-playwright John Pollono who also wrote the script.
Jo Bonney will be directing the production, which begins previews at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in Greenwich Village on October 30. The official opening for the production is set for November 18. Bonney’s credits include By the Way and Meet Vera Stark.
Allen is also currently working on the film Bukowski, which is produced and directed by James Franco.
