Amanda Bynes will NOT be charged for the small fire she started in a random woman’s driveway this past Monday.
After Bynes was hospitalized on a 5150 hold, it was clear to officials that Bynes needed help, not punishment says TMZ. The She’s the Man star won’t be charged for trespassing, arson or anything else that is connected to Monday’s small flame, but she is still facing D.U.I. charges in LA as well as pot charges in NYC.
According to Perez Hilton, medical officials are looking to extend Bynes’s original 72 hour hold to a full two-week treatment, claiming that she shows signs of schizophrenia. Her parents are also determined to obtain a conservatorship, not unlike the one that was obtained when Britney Spears had her meltdown in 2010.
The incident on Monday didn’t harm anyone and she did not appear to be trying to burn down the house where the fire was located. Bynes only managed to burn a bit of her pants and may or may not of accidentally doused her dog in gasoline. It was also reported that she claimed her dog had been burnt, but that has yet to be confirmed.
