Chucky is back in a follow-up to Child's Play, Child's Play 2, Child's Play 3, Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky.
The doll murderer can be seen in the upcoming Curse of Chucky, marking the 25th anniversary of the beginning of the franchise.
Child’s Play was a surprise hit in 1988, and it spawned the 1990, 1991, 1998 and 2004 sequels, Los Angeles Times reports. In total, the Chucky franchise has totaled $126 million nationally.
The latest film won’t hit theaters, however, fans can find it in digital on Sept. 24 and on Blu-ray and DVD on Oct. 8.
Brad Dourif is back to lend his creepy voice, while franchise writer Don Mancini directs with Tom Holland. The film stars Catherine Hicks and Chris Sarandon. It centers on a family moving into a new house and receiving a package of a Chucky doll, which is possessed by a serial killer.
MTV News notes this is the first full Chucky feature since 2004 and the sixth film in the franchise.
