Chris Brown Sneaks in and out of jail

How did Chris Brown resolve his hit-and-run case without anyone noticing? Monday afternoon Brown turned himself into police at the Van Nuys jail in Los Angeles, did not have to post bail, and was out within 45 minutes.

According to Celebuzz, Brown made his appearance at the jail a day early to avoid the paparazzi who would be waiting outside to snap pictures of the ordeal on Tuesday. Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos allegedly orchestrated the whole plan to avoid too much press coverage on the event.

The timing of his short visit was no coincidence. Only hours before, the courthouse was flooded with photographers covering 50 Cent’s court appearance, and as soon as they dispersed, Brown slid into the jail to take care of his business without any cameras.

He arrived and was booked around 2 p.m. and quickly released on his own recognizance in less than an hour, according to TMZ.

Brown is schedule to appear in court on August 16 where a hearing date will be determined to decided if he violated his probation by leaving the scene of the hit-and-run accident back in May, as reported by TheCelebrityCafe.com.

The accident received media attention when the woman involved in the accident asserted that Brown failed to provide proper identification and insurance information, then left the scene.

The judge revoked Brown’s probation granted from the 2009 assault on Rihanna as a result of the hit and run charges. If convicted at the hearing he could spend up to four years in prison.
