Parks and Recreation will become ‘less good-looking’ according to Ron Swanson
Pawnee, Indiana is going to become less attractive in the upcoming months. It was reported last week that Rob Lowe and Rashida Jones who play the characters Chris Traeger and Ann Perkins were going to be leaving Parks and Recreation during the upcoming sixth season. Nick Offerman, who plays Ron Swanson on the show, recently had an interview with Mike Ryan of the Huffington Post about his reaction to the news that two of his costars would be departing the show.

Nick talks about how close everyone is on the show and how he feels like they have become one big family. He expressed his sadness upon hearing the news of his fellow cast mates departing the show, but understands why they are leaving, and admits he is impressed that this group has stayed together as long as they have, considering how talented they all are. Offerman joked about how the two of them are leaving, will result in the show being 65 percent less good-looking. The good news he says is that he moves up in the rankings. He believes that he is moving up to being in the top eight most handsome actors on the show.

The New York Times who reported the story near the end of July, stated that Lowe and Jones would be leaving the show after the 13th episode in the upcoming sixth season. The characters, Ann Perkins and Chris Traeger, share a relationship for a short time during the show, and the current story line saw them considering the possibility of raising a child together. This could be the perfect way to end their participation on the show without affecting the overall story.

Ron Swanson is one of the central characters on Parks and Recreation and with the upcoming departure of several employees at the Parks Department; he will have some exciting new opportunities as well as maybe some new additions to his infamous “pyramid of greatness”.
