This Week In Fashion: The Plus-Size Blog

Hello to all the curvy ladies out there in cyber space. Welcome to this week in fashion: The Plus-Size Blog. I’m here to bring my prospective on fashion for my fellow curvy ladies, and this week I wanted to leave a few tips about embracing your inner curvy fashionista. I feel like we all have one but some of us just need a little help, I know I did and still do.
1.My first tip would be to figure out your body type and find clothing that fits your figure well. Whether you’re an hour glass, a pear, an apple, or a triangle there are cute clothes out there for you!
2.Secondly the best way to start is to have undergarments that fit. If you have a bra where your breast are spilling that carries over to the shirt you wear, and what may have been a very cute top become disastrous. That goes for panties as well, I know sometimes we gain a little weight or just have big caboose and don’t want to get the next size up but sometimes it’s very necessary.
3.Thirdly, try things on. Sometimes trying on clothes can be tedious task and I know at times I just hate trying on clothes because it just seems like nothing fits. Trying things on though could save so much money because if you know what it looks like or that it doesn’t fit you can leave those articles in the store rather than have them collect dust in your closet. Plus now-a -days it seems so many items are cut differently so if you wear and XL in most shirts from your favorite store one would assume you can get all XLs but that may not be the case.
4.Just because you are a curvy lady that doesn’t necessarily mean your clothing has to be EXPENSIVE. You too can look good on a budget. Shop the clearance of your favorite plus-size shops. Stores like Wal-Mart may not seem to be the place to find nice clothing but how would you know if you never look.
5.Look into men’s clothing. I know all about wanting to be cute and comfortable. Sometimes we need a little extra room in our clothes for our lovely curves. Some things can be dolled up and most won’t even know you visited the men’s section and other things give off that masculine feel but you can give it a girly touch.
6.Lastly, I would say embrace yourself and your curves. When you’re confident in what you have on then others will positively notice what you are rocking. Love yourself or no one else will! Curvy is hot so rock it to the best of your ability.

Thanks for tuning in. Comeback next week where I’ll talk about a few great places to shop for clothing.
