Carrie Underwood set perform tribute on Sunday night's Emmys

Grammy award winning singer Carrie Underwood will perform a special tribute this Sunday at the Emmy’s.

E! News reports that Underwood will perform to show honor of the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Underwood will incorporate the tribute with The Beatles’ performance on The Ed Sullivan show.

Ken Ehrlich, executive producer, explained, “To have an opportunity to look back at a time that represented television's finest hour in a program that celebrates so many of this year's achievements is what makes the Emmys special. We are certain that viewers will enjoy this special tribute."

Underwood won’t be the only one to pay tribute on Sunday night. As we previously reported, Elton John will take the stage to honor Liberance. John is also slated to present in the evening alongside Behind the Candelabra stars Michael Douglas and Matt Damon.

The 65th Emmy Awards will air live on CBS, Sunday. The event will be hosted by How I Met Your Mother actor Neil Patrick Harris.
