General Mills announced a recall on some refrigerated Pillsbury cinnamon rolls because the dough could contain plastic pieces.
According to The Christian Science Monitor, General Mills stated that this is a precautionary measure “because the dough may contain fragments from a broken piece of plastic on the production line.”
The affected products are sold in grocery stores across the nation.
The Associated Pressreports that the only products included in the recall are the 8-count single and double packages of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with Icing. The single packs with better if used by dates of October 30, 2013 and October 31, 2013 and the double packs with better if used by dates of October 18, 2013, October 26, 2013 and October 31, 2013 are being taken off shelves.
No other Pillsbury dough products were affected, including Pillsbury Grands! Cinnamon Rolls and Pillsbury Flaky Cinnamon Rolls.
