Big Brother 15 has been a season of ups and downs, although for most viewers, it was mostly downs. With the finale coming up, many viewers are upset with the final three, or the ‘floater three’, as many are calling them. Accusations of Big Brother 15 being the worst season ever have been flying around Twitter. But is it really? Here are my rankings of Big Brother seasons, from the worst to the best.
15. Big Brother 9
The ‘Till Death Do You Part’ twist was just horrible—first of all, it forced people to play in teams in a game that is supposed to be played individually. Plus, it took an already bland cast, and then turned them into whiny and clingy couples who were just painful to watch.
14. Big Brother 1
It was entertaining, but having America vote on who to evict from the house took away any aspect of strategy, which is not the Big Brother we know and love.
13. Big Brother 15
This season has had it’s fair share of controversies, but there was some entertainment value to redeem it. Watching Amanda terrorize the house may have been cringe-worthy, but it was at least interesting. However, the racism, plus the extreme case of vote with the house syndrome, pushes this season back down towards the bottom.
12. Big Brother 12
The Brigade dominated this season, and, despite a fairly interesting cast, the lack of power shifts made for a pretty boring summer.
11. Big Brother 4
A mostly bland cast made this a pretty boring season, but it was interesting to see Jun perfect the floating strategy for the first time.
10. Big Brother 5
This season, in my opinion, had one of the best twists. It was really interesting to see the twins, Adria and Natalie, play as one person, and it was pretty heartwarming to see Nakomis and Cowboy find out they were half siblings.
9. Big Brother 11
This season had a pretty interesting cast, and it did bring us the Big Brother fan favorite showmance of Jeff and Jordan. Even though there were barely any big game moves, it was still entertaining.
8. Big Brother 3
What ruined this season for me was the fact that Danielle didn’t win. Her game play was astonishing, especially considering how early in Big Brother history she played. However, without a sequester house to keep the jury from seeing private diary room sessions, personal vendettas cost her the $500,000.
7. Big Brother 13
This season had one of the best redemption stories, as Rachel Reilly went from being one of the most controversial and hated houseguests to one of the most loved. Still, it was dragged down by the veterans dominating the first half of the season, and by a bland crop of new houseguests.
6. Big Brother 2
Big Brother 2 had some particularly impressive game play on the part of Dr. Will, especially considering that this was the first time that the game had ever been played in the way that we know it today (or at least mostly).
5. Big Brother 8
Evel Dick was a controversial figure, but he was definitely entertaining. He created some really compelling drama, and was able to play a wonderful villain, while still making America fall in love with him as he showed how much he truly cared for his daughter, Daniele. Evel Dick also introduced the bullying strategy to Big Brother, which would be emulated by many houseguests to come.
4. Big Brother 14
The coaches’ twist, in my opinion, worked out really well. It introduced veterans into the game in a way that stopped them from completely dominating the game, like Big Brother 13. It also put a cast of almost entirely likeable and interesting people in the game with the veterans, and featured what was probably the best move in Big Brother history, Dan’s Funeral.
3. Big Brother 6
This season showed a house divided like no other. The conflict and constant power struggle between the Friendship and the Sovereign Six provided with some good drama and constantly kept viewers on the edge of their seats. Although the final two was pretty disappointing, the rest of the season was consistently entertaining.
2. Big Brother 10
This season proved that you don’t need twists to keep Big Brother interesting. Amazing game play by Dan, plus probably the most drama ever seen in the house, made this season one of my favorites.
1. Big Brother 7
What differentiates All-Stars from other seasons is that every single person there was in it to win it. Even the floaters had a solid strategy, and it was very clear that almost everyone in the house was there to play.
