This Week in Fashion: The Plus-Sized Blog

Outfit of the day post! I’ve been wanting to do an OOTD post for a long while. I guess to let the readers know I have a little sense of style and to maybe give the readers some inspiration or leave an opening for suggestions. I’m always up for suggestions and getting things from new perspectives.

This outfit is my take on casual but celebratory. Yesterday was a special day for me so I wanted to be cute but remain in my comfort zone. My jeans are from Forever 21, so are my necklace and bracelet. My shoes are from Target and so is my t-shirt. Lastly I got my blazer from eloquii a discontinued plus-size line by The Limited.

My jeans were so comfortable, I saw in the review on the site that they run a little big but I still got my normal size. I’m glad I did because they fit so well I put on a belt and I had room to move, things aren’t all tight. Reviews always come in handy with things like fit so if you are shopping online I’d suggest that if you don’t already do so.

I’d also suggest when looking to piece together a look start with things in your closet first. I totally did the opposite but ended wearing things I’ve already had. The forever 21 items were new but everything else I’ve had for a while. I’d also suggest if you are putting together a look for a special day do it days or weeks in advance. I know I get certain ideas in my head, but everything looks good up there. I try things on, I try other options to see what may look a little better. Different tops with a pair of jeans can give you multiple looks. Jewelry can play a simple outfit up, so something as simple as outfit of the day can be over the top, or just as simple but cute as you make it.

Feel free to leave some tips in the comment box. I’m not perfect, tell me how you would have rocked it? Leave some pictures in the comment box of some of your OOTD, and inspire others!
