Katharine McPhee and former Smash director Michael Morris are publicly dating each other, even though they're both married to other people.
Morris is married to actress Mary McCormack, with whom he has 3 daughters. McPhee married producer Nick Cokas in 2008. But that didn't stop either party from kissing each other, holding hands and cuddling in Los Angeles, reports TMZ.
McPhee and Cokas, who do not have any children, separated 6 months ago and are living apart. Morris' relationship status with his wife is unknown.
According to Film News, 29-year-old McPhee played Karen Cartwright on the show Smash from 2012-2013. The musical show, directed by Morris, was canceled in May.
McPhee sat down with Lucky magazine in January to reveal that she's glad she's not tied down by kids, as all she wants to focus on is work right now. "I once thought that by now I'd have lots of children, but actually I'm really enjoying being able to go from point A to point B and the only worry I have is have my dogs been walked," the American Idol runner up said. "I'm selfish right now, but that's how and where I should be. The thing is, work is the thing I love the most."
