The White House officially welcomed Christmas on Friday. First Lady Michelle Obama, along with her daughters Malia and Sasha and the family's two dogs, Bo and Sunny, received the official White House Christmas tree that was brought in by horse-drawn wagon.
According to the Associated Press, the tree is an 18 1/2-foot Douglas fir grown by Christopher Botek from Crystal Spring Tree Farm in Lehighton, PA.

Mrs. Obama and the girls inspected the tree upon its arrival. “It looks good. It looks beautiful. We will keep it,” Mrs. Obama said.
Four other trees, all from Wyckoff’s Christmas Tree Farm in Belvidere, NJ, will also be prominently featured throughout the White House.
This weekend, a group of volunteers and White House employees will work all weekend to transform the White House into a Christmas wonderland. The Daily News reports that the tree this year will be decorated with photos of military homecomings.
"We're honored to have it. This is the best part of the holiday season is when our tree comes," the First Lady said.
