World renowned psychic Sylvia Browne passed away at age 77 Wednesday morning.
According to TMZ, Browne passed away in a hospital in San Jose, California surrounded by family and friends.
Browne was featured on several TV shows, including Montel, Larry King Live and Unsolved Mysteries, and wrote several top-selling books. She also claimed to be an expert in psychic detective work and she often had positive results. But recently, she received quite a bit of criticism - she had deemed Amanda Berry, victim of Ariel Castro's kidnapping, dead in 2003, but obviously, she is still alive.
On Browne's Facebook page, a message read, "Sylvia graduated today. She was surrounded by family and friends. What a legacy. She shared so much. We will carry on her knowledge with hypnosis and Journey of the Soul and her many books. What a great party they must be having on the Other Side. Bless everyone."
CNN reports that Browne founded The Nirvana Foundation for Psychic Research in 1974 as well as The Sylvia Browne Hypnosis Training Center, where she taught her hypnosis methods to others.
Browne's final message on Facebook, written on Oct. 27, was, "My one prayer every morning that has carried me through my life is, "Hi God, it's me again." It doesn't matter how you pray. It can be just simply talking to God. Remember, God knows your heart and soul."
