Survivor's Aras Baskauskas proposed to his girlfriend of four years, Christy Peterson, when he got down on one knee with a diamond ring during sunset on the beach.
According to People, Peterson, who is a model and clothing designer, just completed a photo shoot on Saturday afternoon when she and 32-year-old Baskauskas met up to watch the sun set. Peterson was completely surprised, but Baskauskas had been planning the proposal for weeks, and even hired a photographer to capture the moment.
About the proposal, Baskauskas revealed, "I didn't think I'd be nervous, but when push came to shove, I was super nervous." He didn't have to be though - "She said yes," he said, "and we celebrated that night over Mexican food and margaritas!"
Baskauskas won Survivor: Panama in 2006 and competed on Survivor: Blood vs. Water in 2013 and was voted off on Day 21. When he's not appearing on the reality TV show, Baskauskas is a singer and songwriter, performing under the name Odd Us.
Mail Online reports that the happy couple has not yet set a date for the wedding.
