'Tomb Raider' video game's Camilla Luddington receives death threats

Camilla Luddington, voice and avatar of Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider video game received a death threat from fans this week.

According to TMZ, fans weren't happy that Luddington is such an important part of the franchise now. Someone posted a threat to her Twitter page, asking her to cease her participation in the latest Tomb Raider production or else she'll die.

Various death threats followed, giving her 24 hours to live unless she backed out of the Tomb Raiders franchise. Some of these posts included, "[You] have 24 hours to leave the film TR, if not, we will go and kill, we are observing!!!!!" and “It's time, today at 2:15 PM, we will kill!!!" and even "You will die Camilla!!!"

Police officials are currently investigating the situation, and have obtained search warrants for the people who posted the threats to Twitter. No arrests have been made so far.

UPI reports that Luddington's resumé includes interning for the last two seasons of Grey's Anatomy.
