North Carolina family puts modern twist on traditional Christmas card with viral video

The Holderness family of Raleigh, NC decided that a simple Christmas card just would not do this year.

According to , Penn Holderness, a local news anchor for WNCN news, and his family decided to create the video not only to share with friends and family, but to promote their website, http://www.visitthegreenroom.com/, which provides digital marketing services.

The video entitled, 'Christmas Jammies,' stars Penn, his wife, and their two children singing about the events that have gone on in their lives throughout the year to the tune of “Miami” by Will Smith. The description underneath the video says, “Consider this our annual newsletter – just so you know what we’ve been up to. We love you all and hope you have a fantastic holiday! #xmasjammies.”

Since its December 11th release, the video has gone viral, receiving over 700,000 views on YouTube. In additon, the video has been featured on various morning shows, such as Good Morning America.
