Apollo Nida charged with bank fraud and identity theft

The Real Housewives of Atlanta starlet Phaedra Parks' husband, Apollo Nida, is in serious legal trouble after being charged with bank fraud and identity theft.

According to Access Atlanta, Alexandre Herrera, who is a U.S. Secret Service Agent in the Counterfeit and U.S. Treasury Check Squad , claimed that Apollo created fake companies in order to gain access to his victims and then opened phony bank accounts in the victims' names to deposit stolen U.S. Treasury checks and auto loan proceeds into the accounts.

The investigation of this criminal activity had been going on since February of 2012, when an agent began investigation the activites of Gayla St. Julien. During the investigation, they discovered forty bank accounts and two fake debt collection agencies linked to her. When arrested, she admitted to working with Nida in the scheme, calling herself his ‘right hand b****’

Sandra Rose also reported that Apollo, who had previously served time in federal prison for breaking federal racketeering laws, appeared in front of the US District Court and was questioned by US Marshalls on Thursday.

The preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 12,2014.
