After a long period of little to no association since 2010, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are closer than ever!
The duo, which had a few rough years as friends around the time Lovato entered rehab, has reconnected, according to Gomez. The details of their struggles and friendship will be made available in the March 2014 issue of Seventeen magazine.
The former Wizards of Waverly Place star explains that it was singer/actress Lovato’s struggles in life and her willingness to share them with the public that inspired her to reconnect their friendship. The women first met each other at the age of seven while working on the children’s show Barney and Friends.
According to E!, Lovato was in complete agreement with Gomez, stating in a different interview back in May 2013 that they both realized life is short and they didn’t want to waste the time they could spend together.
Gomez’s interview in its entirety will be available on newsstands February 4.
