Tuscaloosa man orders pizza, then robs delivery guy

A Tuscaloosa citizen was arrested Thursday night after luring a pizza delivery guy to his house in order to rob him.

Tuscaloosa News reported that Michael Antonio Long ordered a pizza and had it delivered to his home. The driver told authorities that when he Long's residence, he was approached by armed men who demanded his wallet, all the cash he had on him, and the two pizzas that Long ordered.

The driver did as he was told, but made sure to remember the faces of the thieves before they fled and immediately called the police.

Stephen Dethrage of AL.com reported that the officers went back to the trailer park to speak to neighbors in an attempt to nab a suspect. All the residents pointed them towards Michael Long.

“We don't typically see a suspect call a delivery driver to their actual address to commit a robbery,” said Sgt. Brent Blankley, spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police.

The 20-year old was charged with first-degree robbery and is currently being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail. His bond is set at $60,000.
