The recent death of actor, Harold Ramis, will apparently not affect the newest Ghostbusters film in the trilogy.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the in-development movie will not be cancelled due to Ramis’ death last week. Although the star was supposed to make a cameo in the film, the script will be rewritten.
Originally, Ramis was going to appear next to other Ghostbusters veterans, Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray. Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky are credited with writing the third installments’ screenplay.
Ghostbusters 3 has been in development for a few years now with on and off rumors regarding different celebrities. More recently, stars like Emma Stone and Jonah Hill may potentially have roles in the newest film, according to schmoesknow.com
However, last year Aykroyd said in an interview with Shortlist that he was going to meet with director, Ivan Reitman, in May 2013.
In the interview, he said that the meeting “will be focused on the new generation – think the latest Star Trek.
