Billy Ray Cyrus, rapper Buck 22 release ‘Achy Break 2’

Miley Cyrus isn’t the only one in her family taking a hip-hop approach with her music. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, recently teamed up with rapper, Buck 22, to release different version of his hit song, “Achy Breaky Heart.”

The 1992 country hit has a different take on the original line-danceable song. “Achy Break 2” was released on rapper, Buck 22’s, YouTube page, on Feb. 11.

Perez Hilton reports that this “cringe worthy song” is similar to many of the things his 21-year-old daughter has been performing in her videos.

Twerking, smoking out of hookahs with a catchy pop chorus – which happens to be the chorus to his original song – make up the bizarre, UFO themed video.

Larry King also makes a cameo in the very beginning.

According to RollingStone, Buck 22 is a fairly new hip-hop artist who comes from a impressive family line. His father is jazz drummer, Bill Elliott and R&B singer, Dionne Warwick, is his mother.

Buck 22 explained how the odd duo came together for the new single saying, “I asked [Billy Ray Cyrus] if he would mind if I could take a crack at remaking ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ and he looked at me for a moment and said, ‘lots of people have tried already, but go for it.’”

“He didn’t have a clue that I had already gone into the lab and cooked up a demo of what I thought would be a fun EDM/hip-hop styled version, which at the time only had a sample from the original of his voice,” he continues. “He liked what he heard and, weeks later, arrived at the session to record this track.”
