After suffering internal bleeding, and a miscarriage on February 11, Shayne Lamas was rushed to a Southern California hospital where she was treated until she was released on February 20.
In a statement to US Weekly, the former “Bachelor” star thanked her fans, saying, "Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. I've cried reading the expression of generosity and warmth from everyone. I'm out of ICU at Mission Viejo Hospital. I cannot thank the medical staff here enough for not giving up on me.”
According to Fox News, Lamas had a setback on Valentine’s Day, her husband, Nik Ritchie, said that she suffered ““massive blood loss,” and that “her heart gave out,” but she was able to recover.
The pair released the name of the baby boy, whom she lost during the emergency surgery, Rex Jagger Lamas-Richie.
The former Bachelor’s star also urged everyone to donate blood.
Lamas and Ritchie were married in 2010, and had their first child, a girl named Press, in 2011.
