The media’s newest controversial out speakers, known as “The Princeton Mom,” is now getting backlash from moguls including Jon Stewart.
Earlier this week, Susan Patton, a mother and alumna of Princeton University, wrote a letter to the editor at the Daily Princetonian describing how a woman should find a husband while attending university – primarily Princeton husbands – because these particular women will never be surrounded by men of the same intellectual strength again in the future.
Of course when this article came to light, The Princeton Mom received criticism and backlash about her seemingly anti-feminists beliefs but has also gotten a lot of airtime on MSNBC, CNN and Fox News.
According to The Huffington Post, Jon Steward recently dissed the mom on his show, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart questioning why someone stuck in the past is getting so much publicity.
“Here’s what nobody is telling you. Find a husband on campus before you graduate. Yes, I went there,” she writes in her letter.
“You went there?” Stewart asked while on his show Thursday. “To the 19th century?”
Stewart also questioned her use of words when she wrote that Princeton women will “never again have this concentration of extraordinary men to choose from.”
He mocked her exclaiming, “Extraordinary men!” and pointed to an image of an intoxicated, shirtless college guy saying, “He’s single… but for how long?”
See him mock her below!
