'Nikita' star Maggie Q to lead CBS pilot from 'The Following' creator with Dylan McDermott

Maggie Q, who recently wrapped up her tenure as star of The CW’s Nikita, has just signed on to star in a currently untitled crime drama pilot. It was created by The Following creator Kevin Williamson.

The pilot centers on the Los Angeles Police Department’s Threat Assessment Unit, which investigates stalking cases, reports TheWrap. Q has been cast as the division’s captain, Detective Beth Davis, who is obsessed with work and solving cases.

Dylan McDermott joined the pilot last month as the male lead. He will star as Jack Larsen, who is just joining the unit. He was overconfident, a personality trait that got him in hot water. He’s hoping to leave that behavior behind.

Mariana Klaveno (Devious Maids) will also star as a member of the unit, reports The Hollywood Reporter. Liz Friedlander, who also worked on The Following, has been hired to direct.

Q will be seen on the big screen this weekend in Divergent and is set to appear in that franchise’s next two films. She’ll also appear in Conspiracy on Jekyll Island with John Leguizamo. She starred on Nikita, which ended in December after four seasons.
