Police video of Justin Bieber’s urine test released

The police video of Justin Bieber giving a urine sample to police for a drug test has been released by prosecutors.

According to USA Today, the clips of the 20-year-old pop star show him retrieve a cup from the police officer. He walks over to the urinal and a black box is used to cover his private parts. Later, he gives back the cup to the officer.

Florida has a very lenient public records law, in which municipal records can be inspected by any person. This video is part of nine discs that Miami Beach Police Department have regarding Bieber’s case, all of which have been sought after by the media.

Bieber’s lawyers argued in court that the clips showed “various states of undress" and that his "intimate personal parts" were exposed. A judge ruled that any parts exposed would be censored.

“The court finds that there exists a right to privacy as it relates to the exposure and dissemination of the defendant's genitalia," Judge William Altfield said, according to The NY Daily News.

The drug test that Bieber undergoes in the video is crucial to his case, as he was found with marijuana and Xanax in his system after being arrested for driving under the influence.

Bieber currently resides in a mansion he rented in Sandy Springs, Georgia.
