Former Gossip Girl star, Taylor Momsen, reveals nudity and inspiration for the latest Pretty Reckless album, Going to Hell saying it was completely raw.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the 21-year-old sheds light on what it was like to pose naked for her new album cover.
“We’re all naked when we’re born,” she said. “If you find it shocking, that’s your own perception.”
In the newest album, she sits with her back to the viewer, fully naked with a large, gothic cross and arrow painted down her back.
She also told the magazine that the inspiration came from a classic rock poster of Pink Floyd. “You know that photograph of the women sitting by a pool, nude, with all the record covers on their backs? That’s one of my favorite posters, so I stole the idea,” she said.
Momsen jokingly added, “Then we cropped it for the CD and it turned into E.C. Was Here by Eric Clapton.
Along with the nude album cover, Momsen also appeared completely naked in her new video for “Heaven Knows.”
