Anne Hathaway makes a trip to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with ‘Rio 2’

The 31-year-old Oscar winner Anne Hathaway took some time to surprise children at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis to give the children a screening of her upcoming animated film Rio 2 on Wednesday, April 9.

According to E! News, Hathaway posed for pictures with a young girl named Breanna as well as a boy named Tyler which she was shared a picturesque hug that was caught on camera.

During her visit, Hathaway ditched the typical star like glamor as she sported a clean face with no eye shadow or lipstick and a comfortable sweater.

According to Daily Mail, Hathaway has been a supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for a long time. The hospital’s goal is to find cures for children diagnosed with cancer as well as other life-threatening diseases through research and treatment.

Hathaway also gave the children a before the release viewing of the new animated film Rio 2 that also features Jesse Eisenberg.

Rio 2 is released in theaters on Friday, April 11.
