Comedian John Pinette dead at 50

Comedian John Pinette was found dead April 6.

According to The Daily Mail, the 50-year-old comedian was found dead his room at a Sheraton Hotel in Pittsburgh around 2:30 pm.

TMZ reported that Pinette’s doctor told the medical examiner that he was suffering from liver and heart disease, which is why an autopsy will not be performed.

However, Larry Schapiro, Pinette’s manager, said Pinette died from a pulmonary embolism.

Pinette was currently on a stand up tour with dates set from April through June in the United States and Canada.

Last August, Pinette cancelled performances after he became addicted to prescription medication and checked into rehab for treatment.

Pinette was featured on a comedy special, which aired on Comedy Central in 2011. He was best known for his roles in The Punisher, The Last Godfather, and his role in the series finale of Seinfled as the man who got mugged.

While Pinette’s character is getting mugged, Jerry and his groups of friends stand idly by and make fun of Pinette’s weight and are subsequently arrested for doing nothing when they could’ve helped him.
