Daytime Emmy Awards set to air on June 22

The Daytime Emmy Awards have settled on a date and a location the only missing piece is a TV deal. The 41st ceremony will be held on June 22 at the Beverly Hilton.

Variety reported that the date had been changing as a result of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences looking for a channel to air the awards on.

The show has aired on news cabler HLN for the past two years but this years negotiations are coming down to the last minute.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Malachy Wienges, chair of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences spoke about what changes are coming to the awards and that the Emmys are already underway. "We had the technical Emmys in January at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, the Sports Emmys will be May 6 at Lincoln Center -- we're honoring Ted Turner with a Lifetime Achievement Award," said Wienges.

The Creative Arts portion of the Daytime Emmys will be given out on June 20th at downtown L.A.
