Disney is looking to continue its relationship with Josh Gad, who voiced Olaf the snowman in Frozen. Gad is developing a currently untitled family adventure comedy for the studio.
The actor is co-writing the script with his longtime writing partner Ryan Dixon, reports Deadline. It will be his first project with Disney since completing Frozen, which is now the most successful animated film in history.
There is no further information about the project available other than the multiple genres it will fit in. The Hollywood Reporter notes that the plot has been kept under wraps.
Gad has a number of projects in the works, including Sony’s Pixels with Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Peter Dinklage. That project will be directed by Chris Columbus.
He is also set to star alongside Billy Crystal in FX’s The Comedians, which earned a series order and will air next year. Gad has also been linked to a Warner Bros. Gilligan’s Island project.
As for Dixon, he’s currently working on Universal’s Triplets, the sequel to the Arnold Schwarzenegger/Danny DeVito comedy Twins.
