Jay Leno and Whoopi Goldberg will voice recurring characters on the upcoming Disney XD series The 7D. The animated series features a modernized version of the Seven Dwarfs who appeared in Show White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Leno was cast as a character called “Crystal Ball,” while Goldberg will voice the Magic Mirror, reports TheWrap.
American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson was already cast as the villain in the show, Hildy Gloom. Jess Harnell, Leigh-Allyn Baker and Maurice LaMarche are also members of the voice cast.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, The 7D follows the story of Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Dopey, Grumpy and Doc and their quest to keep the kingdom safe from mystical forces.
The first episode of The 7D will be available on iTunes first on June 23. The show will then debut on Monday, June 7 at 10 a.m. A full trailer is set to premiere at the Radio Disney Music Awards on the Disney Channel Sunday.
Leno recently left NBC’s Tonight Show for Jimmy Fallon to take over. Goldberg is currently a co-host on ABC’s The View.
