Jerry Seinfeld’s web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, has been picked up four more seasons. The show already has three seasons under its belt, and it will continue to air on Sony's Crackle and ComediansInCarsGettingCoffee.com.
Seasons five and six of Comedians, which literally features Seinfeld and fellow comedians like Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais and Howard Stern driving around and offering their insights on life, will begin airing this summer into the fall.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show is a big hit, garnering an Emmy nominated for outstanding special class -- short-format nonfiction programs and receiving over 40 million streams.
Sony Pictures Television's Embassy Row produces with Seinfeld executive producing and starring.
Variety reports in total, 24 more episodes have been greenlit. The show premiered in July 2012.
Sarah Silverman, Jason Alexander, David Letterman, Alec Baldwin, Todd Barry, Seth Meyers, Mel Brooks, Louis CK, Larry David, Wayne Knight, Jay Leno, Patton Oswalt, Carl Reiner, Michael Richards and Chris Rock are counted among the comedians featured on the show during the past three seasons.
