Kanye West postpones 'Yeezus' tour in Australia to work on new album

Kanye West has pushed back the Australian portion of his worldwide Yeezus tour to head back to the studio and work on his new album.

West’s management announced on Tuesday that he be will be postponing the portion of his tour in Australia that was slated for May, to work on his upcoming album.

“Due to unexpected timing requirements to finish his highly anticipated new studio album, scheduled for a 2014 release, Kanye West regretfully announces the postponement of his upcoming tour dates in Australia,” a post on the Roc Nation website read.

The tour dates were originally scheduled for May 2 to May 11, 2014. They are now postponed until September 5 to September 15, 2014. The tour includes shows in Sydney, Brisbane, and more.

Roc Nation also states that all tickets for original shows will be honored for the new dates, according to The LA Times. Those who can’t attend will be able to get a refund.

West’s album is expected to be out later this year. He is also working on a new “Yeezus” film with director Hype Williams.
