Kylie Minogue quits ‘The Voice’ UK

Kylie Minogue, 45, who joined the row of judges in The Voice U.K. last year has officially said that she will be leaving the show.

Minogue, who took over for fellow pop star Jessie J last year, has been accredited as the reason for the show receiving more viewers. She joined the panel next to Ricky Wilson, will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones.

However, with her upcoming busy schedule, the singer took to Twitter to make her announcement.

“I absolutely loved my time on the show, and I’ll miss all of the incredible people who were a part of my experience,” she said according to BBC.

Although Minogue was accredited with the ratings increase during the audience portion of the show, which peaked with about 9.41 million viewers, according to the BBC, ratings declined during the live finals.

“Kylie has brought her own very special magic to The Voice UK and we have loved having her on the show,” Executive producer at the production company Wall To Wall, Moira Ross said according to BBC. “We wish her well for her tour and hope to welcome her back in the future.”

According to Daily Mail, despite leaving the British version of The Voice, Minogue is rumored to be rejoining will.i.am on the Australian version of the series this year.

Minogue’s tour, Kiss Me Once, starts in Liverpool on September 24.
