Meg Ryan to voice Sally on 'How I Met Your Dad'

For those still in shock about the How I Met Your Mother finale, here’s some exciting news about the spin-off TV series, How I Met Your Dad. Meg Ryan will join the cast but not in the way you’d think.

Ryan won’t make a physical appearance on the show, but however, will voice the older version of Greta Gerwig’s character,“Future Sally,”reports CBS News.

Gerwig will double as a writer as well as an actress alongside Anders Holm, Drew Tarver and Nick D’Agosto, according to E! News. The show will follow Sally and her group of friends over the years as they share laughs, hardships and weed through life partners.

In the original CBS hit comedy, Bob Saget, known as Danny Tanner on Full House, voiced Josh Radnor’s character of Ted Mosby. There’s no official news concerning the TV show, but it’s expected to appear on CBS’ fall lineup.

Fans are still on the fence about what's to come from the new series--hopefully it can be half the show How I Met Your Mother was.
