Suspected gunman dead after injuring six people at FedEx plant

The suspected gunman, who opened fire at a FedEx plant in Kennesaw, Georgia Tuesday has died after shooting and injuring six people.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, authorities have said that the suspect injured six people before turning the gun on himself. The victims have been hospitalized and one person remains in critical condition.

ABC News noted that police responded to the shooting this morning and were working on safely evacuating the building before the alleged gunman was found dead inside the warehouse.

Several FedEx employees, who were reporting to their workplace during the time of the shooting, arrived to police activity and were turned away.

In a statement, the company said: "FedEx is aware of the situation. Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our team members, first responders and others affected. FedEx is cooperating with authorities."

Multiple agencies including Cobb County police, agents from Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms as well as FBI bomb technicians remain on the scene.
