The New York Rangers lead the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 in round one of Stanley Cup playoffs

Game three of round one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs between the New York Rangers and the Philadelphia Flyers resulted in some entertaining playoff material as Daniel Carcillo played a huge role in the 4-1 rangers win.

For the former Flyer, Carcillo sure had a lot of slander to spread about the opposing team—the fans had just as much to say. Game three seemed to be more of a game of Carcillo vs. the Flyers and their fans where foul words and rude gestures were exchanged, according to NY Daily News.

The first period was an extremely entertaining and action-packed playoff game. The Rangers started strong and Derek Stepan gave the Rangers an early lead and the first goal of the game at 3:54. It got real messy real quick with penalties, dives and hits.

Nearing the end of the period, Dan Girardi went in for a goal, while Martin St. Louis tipped it right into the net.

During one of the many Rangers power plays, Pouliot goes at it with Macdonald once more, giving the Flyers the room they need to score their first goal. Streit gave the Flyers some confidence with his 2-1 goal.

Rangers fans became a bit scared during the second period when they Flyers started fighting back. It remained scoreless throughout, until Girardi attempted a goal for a second time—this time succeeding. With a 3-1 score and as the period nearing the end, the blueshirts looked extremely tired.

Daniel Carcillo is a name to discuss when talking about game three. His personal hatred towards the Flyers, a team he once played for, is not hidden. After roughing around with a few players and taking a few hits, Carcillo’s temper emerged in the faces of the referees as he was sent to the penalty box.

After leaving the box after two minutes passed, Carcillo automatically hit the ice and scored a goal—a HUGE slap in the face to the Flyers and a big move for the Rangers. Carcillo approached the crowd to celebrate and mock them and was flipped the bird in response.

“Nothing surprises me about this city and the way people act,” Carcillo said about Philly. “But I came out of the box, Boyle made a great pass, and I put it through his legs. Afterwards, you know . . . I was just excited," reports NY Daily News.

Henrik Lundqvist kept his stamina up the entire game and ended with 31 saves, reports CBS Sports. The Rangers now lead the Flyers in round one, 2-1. The two will meet again on Friday at 7 p.m. in Philadelphia.
