People who are recent college grads or soon-to-be graduates miss the good old days of Nickelodeon and Lizzie McGuire. The toys were cooler, the fashions were more stylish and the foods were sweeter… much sweeter.
Times have changed and now kids play on their iPads instead of their Game Boy Colors. They’re watching Family Guy instead of Even Stevens and will only know Corey and Topanga as ‘mom and dad’ on the new Disney spinoff series, Girl Meets World.
The generation that was born during 1991-1994 is in an awkward group. They’re not necessarily pure 90s kids but a mixture of the early millennium. They got to witness the tail end of the great 1990s but also spent the majority of their earlier childhood lives in the shining 2000’s.
Kids born in the early 90s got to experience amazing, and often sad, things. The rise and fall and rise again of Britney Spears, the deaths of Aaliyah and TLC’s Left Eye. They remember the Spice Girls as a young girl group devoted to girl power in mini dresses and really high platform sneakers… not the five women who are reaching 40 years old.
