ABC has unveiled its Fall 2014 schedule ahead of its upfront presentation for advertisers in New York. The Disney-owned network has a few surprises in store, including its decision to hold back Marvel’s Agent Carter for mid-season.
Dancing With The Stars will remain ABC’s Monday champion as expected, with Castle wrapping up the night. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will still be on Tuesdays, but has been moved to 9 p.m. with two new comedies as lead-ins.
Wednesday will feature all returning shows, with the new Black-ish comedy squeezed between Modern Family and Nashville. The Goldbergs will bej oining the Wednesday comedy night.
Thursday is all Shonda Rhimes. The creator of Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal will have her new How To Get Away With Murder series airing after her returning shows.
Friday is also all-returning shows with a new comedy in between. Cristela will air between Last Man Standing and Shark Tank.
“Our schedule reflects a judicious mix of boldness and stability,” ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee said in a statement. “ABC is finishing the season with momentum -- we now have building blocks on every night of the week, and we’re using them to launch our new series. This season we set out to develop passion projects from world-class storytellers and showcase the faces and voices of America.
