Dave Chappelle celebrates 10th anniversary of 'Brooklyn Block Party' with Janelle Monáe, The Roots

Dave Chappelle’s Brooklyn Block Party, which came out a year later as a film in 2005, mixed stand-up with music, including artists Kanye West, Mos Def, and a once in a lifetime reuniting of The Fugees. Now 10 years later, Chappelle is resurrecting the mixture of the two art forms with a three-night stint at Radio City Music Hall.

The shows at Radio City Music Halls will run from June 24 to June 26, with tickets going on sale to the general public on June 1. Rolling Stone noted musical artists will include The Roots on the first night, Busta Rhymes and Janelle Monáe on the second, and Erykah Badu will close the last night. Badu and The Roots also performed at the original Brooklyn Block Party. More artists are soon to be announced as well.

Chappelle will not only be performing on those three nights but has also sold out a headlining five-night run at the famed venue starting June 18 through June 22 of just stand-up. These are his first scheduled performances in New York City in over a decade.
