John Travolta has redeemed himself – well, that depends on who you ask. The former Grease star introduced presented at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS event on Thursday night with his wife, Kelly Preston, and did not have another flub like he did at the Oscars.
Travolta and Preston were on hand to introduce Andrea Bocelli. "Ladies and gentlemen, it's our pleasure to introduce Andrea Bocelli," he said without one hiccup.
USA Today reports he even rolled his “R’s” to emphasize an Italian accent.
Travolta was likely relieved he presented the singer flawlessly, as it’s possible he went out of his way to prevent another Adele Dazim moment for the media to take and run with.
While presenting Idina Menzel at the Academy Awards ahead of her performance of Frozen’s “Let It Go,” he famously called her Adele Dazim. Social media users had a field day with it, causing him to respond.
“I've been beating myself up all day. Then I thought, what would Idina Menzel say? She'd say, let it go, let it go! Idina is incredibly talented and I am so happy Frozen took home two Oscars Sunday night!” he said in a statement at the time.
