After all that effort on Kanye West’s part to get Lana Del Rey to perform during his wedding weekend to Kim Kardashian last weekend, the British singer insisted that she did it free of charge.
Although it was rumored she was paid six figures to perform, she told TMZ she did it for free.
A cameraman asked the “Young and Beautiful” singer how much he would have to pay if he wanted her to sing at his wedding and she replied, "I'd do it for free just like I did this one."
She added, "I would never let a friend pay me to sing at a wedding.”
Del Rey, 27, didn’t actually sing at the wedding in Italy but she performed at the rehearsal dinner the night before in Paris at Palace of Versailles.
West tried to get her to perform at his lavish proposal back in October, but for whatever reason, they couldn’t make it happen. Instead, he had the 50-piece orchestra he hired perform a cover of “Young and Beautiful,” one of Kardashian’s favorite songs.
