The two men who planed to murder singer Joss Stone, have appealed against their sentences
BBC News reports that Junior Bradshaw, 33, and Kevin Liverpool, 36, who were sentenced for their plot to murder Stone in her Devon home, have appealed against their sentences.
Bradshaw and Liverpool were charged with conspiracy to rob and murder Stone at her home in Ashill in 2011. Bradshaw's sentence included 18 years of jail time, and Liverpool received life and recommended he serves at least 10 years.
Both men were at the Court of Appeal in London where Judges said they would announce their decision on Tuesday.
Bradshaw and Liverpool surveyed Stone's home and were getting ready to attack her. Neighbors called police after spotting their Fiat Punto, in poor condition, in the area. The two men were arrested; Stone was in her home at the time.
The two men told police they were lost and were trying to get to Bristol, but police found a body bag, knives, a sword, hammers, gloves, masks and a hosepipe in their car.
Stone spoke to Express about the incident, explaining that she felt sorry for the two men.
"I thought about their mums, how they must feel," Stone said. "Someone comes to their door and says, 'Your child has tried to murder someone.'
"I did actually want to ask them why. Was it because I sang a song they hated," she added.
