Rise Against announces new album, set for July release

Alternative rock band Rise Against announced via their Facebook page that they will be releasing their newest album in July 2014.

The group from Chicago, Illinois is led by frontman and vocalist Tim McIlrath. Other current members include, Zach Blair,lead guitarist and backing vocals; Joe Principe, bass guitar and backing vocals; and Brandon Barnes, drums and percussion.

The record out in July will be the first release since 2011’s Endgame besides 2013’s Long Forgotten Songs album that consisted of b-sides and cover songs performed by the band.

The Alternative Press stated that the upcoming album’s title or any additional information about it has been released besides that their new music is “coming soon.”

Rise Against is recognized for their advocacy of progressive organizations including, Amnesty International and the It Gets Better Project. All members passionately promote animal rights, are PETA supporters and vegetarians.

The band will be performing at Jay Z's Made in America music festival on August 30 and 31 in Los Angeles.
