Two teenagers were shot in Richmond, Virginia on Tuesday and police said that the double-shooting occurred because the teens mocked a couple for having sex in a public park.
According to WTVR, the couple was having sex near the basketball courts and the shooting was triggered by what individuals who caught them had to say.
The New York Daily News reported that the victims a 17-year-old and 19-year-old, were transported to a nearby hospital and are expected to survive. One teen was shot in the arm and the other in the back.
The couple was having sex behind a concession in broad daylight, while some children as young as 8 were gathering on the tennis courts and others were playing basketball.
The man apparently became enraged after the teens caught them in the act and made jokes about it.
Witnesses said that’s when the male called his family members on his cell phone and allegedly ordered the gunfire, telling them to come “handle his business.”
So far, no one has been charged in connection with the shooting.
